

This is not the first thing finished this year. That was a hat. The hat is part of a batch of hats and there are still a few to go to finish up the whole project.
These wrist warmers are out of Lions Brand Wool Ease for washability. Black seemed to be a good color because it goes with everything and takes a bit before it looks dirty. So, I pulled out a part skein and still have some left over. Best guess, they used about 25% of skein.
These are based on the Estonian Wrist Warmers out of Nordic Knits. Since I was using a thicker yarn, I reduced the number of repeats both around and in length. I like how the pattern swirls up the wrist. Of course, this is difficult to see in the pictures.
If you have access to the pattern, they are fast to make. I think it might be a good pattern for playing with lace starting out.
