Baby Surprise Jacket Number 2

The second baby Surprise Jacket is done now. I didn't start the last skein of Key West Karribean Kotton. My previous estimate of yarn usage seems to be a little off. You may have noticed that I did lots of stripes. I tried to minimize the ends by running the color along the edge. This is noticeable at the front placket on the inside. I think it worked well where the sleeves are sewn to the back.

For finishing, I crocheted the two seams on the outside being careful to keep the white inside the seam when hooking it through. Otherwise, it showed against the blue. After the seams, I did a two stitch I-cord bind-off and continued around the neck.

The review by DH was " that doesn't seem like something for a baby." It took a couple of questions to get further clarification. Turns out the striping is what caused the comment. I thought it was kind of cute but then I am the knitter.

Up next today, is working on adding needles to Ravelry. I think the yarn can wait since I went by a 30% off sale earlier.
